Basic Provisions
The provisions and rules regarding animal transport are spread over a number of different swiss laws and ordnances. Still, some important aspects of animal welfare are not regulated in these.
For our controls we therefore apply our own documents, which are accepted by our clients and regulate the implementation of legal requirements as well as some further aspects of animal welfare.
We assess the following areas during our controls:
- Documentation of vehicles and drivers
- Measurements and tagging of vehicles
- Accompanying documents of the animals
- Handling, driving and conducting of the animals
- Stocking density and accomodation during transportation
- Loading and securing facilities
- Condition of loading sectors, shelter and climatization
- Driving style and driving time (driving style only for accompanied controls)
Control Report
The results of the control are issued to the controlled transport company and other recipients (clients and label owners) in a standardized written report.
